From Foragers to Farmers: The Archaeological Origins of Food
A 45–60 minute illustrated history lecture for libraries and adult audiences.
For most of human history, we gathered, hunted, moved with the seasons, and lived in small communities. Then, about 10,000 years ago, humans began one of the most consequential experiments in history.
This illustrated talk explores how and why humans began domesticating plants and animals, and how that experiment transformed our bodies, our communities, and the modern world.
