For curious minds who want more than dates & facts.
History lectures & illustrated programs for libraries & adult audiences
Designed for curious adult audiences, my illustrated lectures explore how the past shapes the world we live in now. Each talk blends narrative, rich visuals, and unexpected details that stay with audiences long after the program ends.

I offer engaging history lectures for public libraries, historical societies, and community groups. Each 45 to 60 minute illustrated program is designed for adult audiences and includes ready-to-use marketing materials for easy booking. Explore the full lecture catalog.
Lectures That Surprise, Delight, and Educate
History isn’t just dates and names, it’s the story behind the objects, habits, and traditions we take for granted.
My talks uncover the fascinating connections between the material world of hundreds (or thousands) of years ago and the lives we live today.
Each 45–60‑minute program is:
- Engaging and approachable, featuring storytelling that sparks genuine curiosity
- Intelligent but not academic, it’s deeply researched but thoughtfully told
- Ready to host, ideal for adult audiences in libraries, historical societies, and community groups
Finding meaning in the things we keep
I’m Rachael Rezek — an archaeology and history student turned librarian, and lifelong explorer of how history lives in the objects around us.
After studying Archaeology and Classics, interning at the Smithsonian, and working in the field on digs in Morocco and the US, I discovered what truly drew me in wasn’t just the artifacts themselves, it was their stories.
That love of connections led me to earn my Master of Library and Information Science and spend 15 years as a Community Services Librarian, bringing in programs that made history come alive for adult audiences.
Now I bring research and storytelling together to craft lectures that are carefully researched, engaging, and help people see the past from a fresh perspective.
